SPORTS: Girls Cross Country Sectional
Heritage Hills seniors Kiersten Kennedy, second from left, and Shaylyn Ayer hugged after the Patriots received the sectional trophy while Stephanie Schaefer, left, and Annastacia Sumbles joined the celebration Tuesday night at Vincennes University Jasper Campus. Kennedy placed sixth and Ayer finished fourth to help the Patriots edge Perry Central by 11 points and claim the program's fourth sectional title in the last five years.
Southridge's Alexis Tormohlen paced herself as she ran uphill on Tuesday evening's cross country sectional at Vincennes University Jasper Campus. Tormohlen finished in 25th place in 24 minutes, 9.38 seconds.
